Informasi beasiswa untuk lulusan SMA , Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) menyelenggarakan program BEASISWACORPORATE yang memberikan kesempatan bagi putra-putri bangsa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tingkat Sarjana S-1. Dengan pendaftaran terakhir hari Jum'at, 8 Agustus 2014.

Selain itu kami juga menyelenggarakan TWINNING PROGRAM DENGAN ITB khusus untuk Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (T. Elektro, T. Informatika, T. Industri, dan Bioteknologi). Dimana siswa akan belajar 2 tahun di UAI dan 2 tahun di ITB.

Besar harapan kami, program ini juga dapat mendukung rekan-rekan dalam mencerdaskan putra-putri maupun sanak saudara.

Scholarships Types

The most common scholarships may be classified as:

• Merit-based: These awards are based on a student's academic, artistic, athletic or other abilities, and often factor in an applicant's extracurricular activities and community service record. The most common merit-based scholarships, awarded by either private organizations or directly by a student's intended college, recognize academic achievement or high scores on standardized tests. Most such merit-based scholarships are paid directly by the institution the student attends, rather than issued directly to the student.
• Need-based: In the United States, these awards are based on the student and family's financial record and require applicants to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify if the scholarship is a federal award. Private need-based scholarships also often require the results of a FAFSA, which calculates a student's financial need through a formula that looks at the expected family contribution and cost of attendance at the intended college.
• Student-specific: These are scholarships for which applicants must initially qualify based upon gender, race, religion, family and medical history, or many other student-specific factors. Minority scholarships are the most common awards in this category. For example, students in Canada may qualify for a number of aboriginal scholarships, whether they study at home or abroad. The Gates Millennium Scholars program is another minority scholarship funded by Bill and Melinda Gates for excellent African American, American Indian, Asian Pacific Islander American and Latino students who enroll in college.
• Career-specific: These are scholarships a college or university awards to students who plan to pursue a specific field of study. Often, the most generous awards to students who pursue careers in high-need areas such as education or nursing. Many schools in the United States give future nurses full scholarships to enter the field, especially if the student intends to work in a high-need community.
• College-specific: College-specific scholarships are offered by individual colleges and universities to highly qualified applicants. These scholarships, given on the basis of academic and personal achievement, usually result in either a full-ride to the college, or for a reduced rate of tuition.

Some scholarships have a "bond" requirement. Recipients may be required to work for a particular employer for a specified period of time or to work in rural or remote areas; otherwise they may be required to repay the value of the support they received from the scholarship. This is particularly the case with education and nursing scholarships for people prepared to work in rural and remote areas. The programs offered by the uniformed services of the United States (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard,National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration commissioned corps, and Public Health Service Commissioned Corps) sometimes resemble such scholarships.

• Athletic: Awarded to students for showing exceptional skill in a sport provided by the college.

Beasiswa Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) 2014

Program beasiswa Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) 2014 resmi dibuka. Pelajar, mahasiswa dan WNI yang mengaku berbakat dan berambisi belajar di Belanda diundang untuk mendaftar program beasiswa OTS 2014 ini. Program beasiswa yang dikelola oleh Nuffic Neso Indonesia ini bekerja sama dengan sejumlah perguruan tinggi Belanda dan mitra dari sektor publik dan swasta.

Tersedia 86 Beasiswa

“Tahun ini lebih banyak lagi yang ditawarkan. Ada 86 beasiswa, padahal tahun lalu baru 40 beasiswa. Tujuan program beasiswa ini membuka kesempatan lebih banyak lagi bagi pelajar, mahasiswa dan profesional muda mewujudkan potensi mereka,” terang Direktur Nuffic Neso Indonesia, Mervin Bakker, saat menggelar temu media di Bunga Rampai Restaurant, Menteng.

“Siapa pun yang ingin belajar di Belanda harus tahu betul motivasinya mengapa mau kuliah di luar negeri. Misalnya, karena program yang dituju di Indonesia tidak ada, pengembangan budaya, ambisi pribadi yang ingin karirnya lebih baik dan ingin membangun jejaring di luar negeri untuk karir di masa depan,” tegasnya.

Pertanyaannya kini adalah mengapa Belanda. Alasan tamanya tentu saja adalah kualitas. Kualitas pendidikan di Belanda tidak diragukan lagi. Buktinya, ada 18 orang peraih Nobel di bidang Kimia, Fisika, Kedokteran, Ekonomi dan Perdamaian. Tak hanya itu saja, menurut lembaga pemeringkat universitas di dunia yang terbaru, sebanyak 12 universitas masuk di 200 universitas top di dunia.

“Saya berharap kerjasama antara semua mitra Orange Tulip Scholarship dapat memberi dimensi baru untuk hubungan yang lebih baik lagi bagi Indonesia dan Belanda,” tegasnya.

Tunggu apa lagi. OTS 2014 menawarkan beasiswa untuk tiga jenis program yaitu foundation, S1 dan S2. Tiap beasiswa memiliki struktur pendanaan yang berbeda. Kebanyakan berbentuk potongan biaya studi penuh atau sebagian. Mervin menegaskan sebanyak 22 organisasi berkontribusi dalam program beasiswa OTS 2014 ini, seperti perguruan tinggi Belanda, kementerian Indonesia dan perusahaan Belanda. Untuk tahun 2014 ini, Nuffic Neso berhasil menggandakan jumlah beasiswa khusus bagi  pelajar, mahasiswa dan profesional muda Indonesia.

Scholarships for Young Humanities

Scholarships for Young Humanities, Social and Law Scholars of Islamic Background Countries

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation: Additional scholarships for young humanities, social and law scholars from countries with an Islamic background. This scholarships provide an opportunity for highly qualified scholars that hold a doctorate and are under the age of 40 to carry out a research project of their choice in Germany. The scholarship holder undertakes the obligation to research for at least six to a maximum of twelve months in Germany. Furthermore, they must come from a law, humanities or social sciences field. For the entire period of time, the scholarship holder will receive monthly support of between 2,100 and 3,000 EUR.

Target Group
Highly qualified up-and-coming scholars that hold a doctorate from countries with an Islamic background and who wish to carry out a research project of their choice in Germany.

Academic Requirements
The most important factors for the decision are previous (international) publications as well as the quality and feasibility of the research project.

Scholarship Value
A monthly research grant of 2,100 EUR to 3,000 EUR.

Application Requirements
- Doctorate or comparable academic degree (Ph.D., C.Sc. or equivalent); or several years of activity in research which can be convincingly substantiated through publications in (internationally) recognised academic journals; applications from academics that are about to complete their doctorate are possible upon presentation of the dissertation manuscript or publications that contain the results of the dissertation;
- Proof of independent research activity through academic publications in recognised journals (if possible international);
- Prior arrangement with an academic host in Germany that is prepared to supervise the research project and provide a workplace for carrying the research project;
- Age up to 40 years (Deadline: receipt of complete application before the applicant’s 40th birthday). A limited number of exceptions are possible in particularly well-founded cases (e.g. child-raising time) and if the age limit is only slightly exceeded;
- Language knowledge:
Humanities scholars and social scientists must have a good command of German to the extent that this is necessary for carrying out the project (German language certificate required); otherwise a very good command of English is sufficient (proof required through language certificate).
